Hats Off to You, Harry!
Last week, Harry was honoured at a gala fundraiser in Toronto at the Four Seasons. Plans for this event began over a year ago by a dedicated committee led by Cheryl McEwen and Larry Rosen. All their hard work paid off as the event was an incredible success raising $1.8 million to establish the Harry Rosen Chair in Diabetes Research at the McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine at University Health Network.
The highlight of the night had to be when Harry took the stage to sing an impromtu duet with crooner Matt Dusk. They sang “You can’t take that away from me” and the crowd absolutely loved it.

Proving the high esteem in which people hold Harry, many of the menswear industry's most prominent executives travelled from near and far to fete Harry - including Giorgio Canali, Benedetta Zegna, Claus Dietrich Lahrs from Hugo Boss and Massimo Caronna from Brunello Cucinelli. Other notable moments included Larry Rosen's speech about Harry "the icon", a moving tribute by Harry's daughter Racheal McCaig about Harry "the Dad", and a video montage featuring many of Harry's friends, family, colleagues and peers. The finale of the night saw Harry give an inspirational talk about the important stem cell research being done at the McEwen Centre and the overall value of volunteering and philanthropy - a talk that moved all 550 guests in the room, including the many associates and staff from Harry Rosen Inc. On behalf of all of them, we'd like to say once more - Hats off to you Harry!!
