We were invited to the launch of Glen Baxter's photography exhibit as part of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival.

Hugo Boss on Bloor Street hosted the launch of Glen Baxter's photogrpahy exhibit on Azerbaijan as part of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival. When he isn't interviewing fashion designers around the world for In Fashion and Fashion Television, Glen Baxter somehow manages to find time to shoot his own photography. Baxter spent one month in Azerbaijan in a remote village capturing the beauty of the landscape and the poverty of its people.

We couldn't help but wonder how he managed to get some of the intimate shots on display such as a woman crying, a confused child, and an older man in a bathtub. He told us he went into the hospital with his camera and asked the doctor if he find patients that were ok with him taking their photo. There was a huge anguage barrier, but somehow he managed. The photos were on display for one month and were available for purchase with proceeds benefitting Right to Play.
