A Note from Larry Rosen, CEO of Harry Rosen Inc.
I just came back from the annual meeting of IMG, an organization representing some of the world's finest apparel retailers, of which Harry Rosen is the Canadian member. As usual, I was very impressed with how progressive so many of our fellow members are. Our Swiss member, Bon Genie-Grieder, is building state-of-the-art new stores and the American member, The Mitchell Family of Stores, just acquired the legendary Wilkes Bashford in San Francisco.
We spent five days in beautiful Berlin sharing the latest ideas about quality and luxury apparel and service. I must say that it's been many years since I've been to Berlin and I was really impressed at the progress made since the unification of Germany in 1989. It is truly one of the world's greatest cities, and our German hosts - the Rusche family, who own The SØR Stores in Germany - were wonderful and gracious hosts.
It's inspiring to be part of an organization of such like-minded, client-focused retailers and every year we come back full of new ideas on how we can better serve our customers.
